Olympics

India won its first ever gold in an individual event. Wow ..

I was looking around for Olympics updates when i found this.

100,000 ? Isn't that too much ?

Lets see the stats already available.

130,000 condoms were given out at Athens in 2004.

According to the wikipedia entry on Athens Olympics, a total of 10,625 athletes with 5,501 team officials participated in the games.

So around 16,000 in all, lets say there were 8,000 men approx.

130,000/8,000 = on an average, 16.25 condoms per male.

The games happened from August 13 to 29 = 17 days.

I know a lot of rubber would've gone unused, mostly cos' men are very optimistic about their chances and might just end up carrying extra condoms hoping to get lucky, and prolly' a good number was wasted ( at least according to me) for other activities which don't really require the participant(s) to use a condom.

Even with all that, thats still a lot of sex. Wot think ?

Just an observation..

College...

Effective today my classes at college end 15 minutes earlier than before. ie. we are 'let off' at 3.40 instead of 3.55 pm. Now, this 15 mins time gives me enough time to catch a train at 4pm, which means i don't have to wait till the 4.45 train. This means I get home 45 mins- 1 hour sooner than before. Wow.

I feel my evenings have suddenly opened up( eventhough i get just 45 mins extra), i have time for so much else. It does not get dark by the time i get home, and i get back home in the 'afternoon' not 'evening'. We even started planning to go for a movie today ( plan flopped in the end), something unthinkable when we were on the previous schedule.

I think this is the only reason i'm in pretty decent moods now( i can't think of any other reason). 15 minutes change so much.

Life...

is so amazing. So much can happen in a single day. Yesterday i had a very bad day and an awesome day together. What started off as a very neutral day turned into 'very bad' and then later in the evening it finally became this superawesome day. I just can't stop thinking about how things turned around for me in a few hours.

I really need to try and have a smoother emotional curve. Oscillating between 'slightly suicidal' and 'cheerful' isn't so easy on me. Neutral plateaus with gentle swings are better ithinks.
